A born-and-raised Texas girl with a passion for the next generation, I’m a Mom, a writer, an educator, and a voracious reader dedicated to helping you connect with the teens in your life.
Through the In the Middle of It podcast, online training and resources, and live events, I help people like you connect with the teens you love with actionable strategies and relevant resources that create results.
For as long as I can remember, my happy place has been in the pages of books.
I’ve traveled to faraway places and made countless friends all while curled up in my favorite cozy chair. I can say with certainty that those places and people – those stories – shaped who I am today.
I also love discovering the stories of the teens in my life, and what’s shaped them so far.
Whether in the middle school classroom, leading 7th- and 8th-grade girls in youth group classes, or getting to know my own kids’ friends, I’ve always had a heart for those at the beginning of their teen years.
When I put the two together, the In the Middle of It podcast was born.
The perfect place for both my passions, the podcast marries the magic of young adult books with the people who serve middle schoolers.
